This demolition derby was a hard hitting derby with some of the best drivers in the sport.  The top 10 in points were present to battle it out.  Wes Gargus, Mayfield, KY (pictured to the left) overcame the competition to claim 1st place to win $1,200.  Wes started in the first heat unsuccessfully, then came back from the consolation heat to make it to the feature.  With this win, Wes is currently in 6th place with 98 points in the Crash for Cash Cup.

Finishing a tough 2nd place was Thomas Boshers (pictured bottom right) from Ethridge, TN.  Thomas took a nice 2nd place trophy and a $500 payout for his finish in the Purchase District Fair Demolition Derby.  Thomas won his second heat to make it to the feature his car showed great poise as it took a beating and still ran a cool engine.  It wasn't until the end that Wes finally put the knock out blow to this well built car.  We hope to see more from this young man, and we appreciate the great show that Wes and Thomas both put on at the end.  It was a true state battle as it was Kentucky vs. Tennessee to the end.  Great job guys!  Thomas Boshers takes 2nd place at Mayfield, KY Demolition Derby.Click the link for more Mayfield, KY demolition derby results.
