Kevin Hill places first at Erin, TN Demolition Derby. The Erin, TN NAPA Auto Parts Crash For Cash Demolition Derby was the 2009 season opener.  This venue was a first for the Derby Madness Crew.  The Erin fairboard was more than hospitable and great to work with.  The weather team called for rain, however, it held off and created a perfect setting for a great demolition derby.

This derby started at 2pm and the drivers and fans packed the area quickly.  There were 48 cars spanned across 4 heats, in addition to 2 consolations and a final feature heat.  This was a very hard fought derby with many hard hits and fast action.  Overall, the demolition derby had very few stops for teaming and driver door hits.  A thumbs up to all the drivers for their sportsmanship and adherence to the rules.

Kevin Hill, from Kirksey, KY placed 1st and won $1000.  He also currently holds the lead with 60 points in the Crash for Cash Cup points race.   Kevin battled in the 3rd heat to claim his spot in the feature, and then turned it up a notch as he rose to the top in the feature heat.  Congratulations to Kevin Hill for a great demolition derby win!

Finishing in 2nd place and winning $500 was Jeremy Taylor from Hermitage, TN.  He is also currently in 2nd place for theJeremy Taylor Crash for Cash Cup points series with 58 points.  The feature came down to a battle between Kevin and Jeremy as the derby ended just before dusk.  Again Derby Madness would like to thank all of Erin, TN, the fans, and the drivers for putting on a great season opener.

Again, a big hand to Jason Schmidt and his organization for providing a great place to demolition derby.  We look forward to continuing to promote demolition derbies in Erin, TN in the future!  Click here for this demolition derby results.
